| Groups in e-Life

Our e-Life system allows us to set up groups that reflect the groups, teams, and ministries at Life Church, including:

Children’s Church
Leadership Team
Life Groups
Married Couples
Worship Team
Young Adults

We have several additional groups that exist purely for administrative purposes. Groups in e-Life have the following components:

Group Leader (one per group)
Group Assistants (optional, but groups can have more than one)
Group Members

Group leaders and assistants can update their group’s calendar, take attendance, and send messages on behalf of the group.

| Adding Events to the Calendar

It’s important that all church activities appear on the Life Church calendar. If you’re sponsoring an event, follow these steps:

Login to e-Life
Click on the group hosting the event (e.g., “Married Couples Fellowship,” “Young Adult Ministry,” “Children’s Church”)
Click on the Calendar tab (it will display the current month).
Click Add Event for the appropriate date. You will see three tabs: General, Location, and Advanced.
Choose the appropriate Event Type:
Rooms & Resources needed, or
Rooms & Resources not needed
Fill in the event information and click Save.
From the Publish tab, add the event to both the Public and Church-wide calendars.
Refresh the Calendar Page to confirm the event appears. If it doesn’t, you may need to check Step 7 or wait for administrator approval.

Once updated, the event will appear on the public Calendar page

| Event Guidelines

Here are some guidelines for scheduling and announcing Life Church Events:

Updating the Life Church Calendar should be one of the early tasks on your checklist for any event you are planning
Events should be added to the Calendar before they are announced
All events should be announced via the Connect List preferably before they are announced in church.
Here are some important events that should appear in the calendar:
Watch Night Fellowship
Married Couples Fellowship
Young Adults Events
Leadership Team Meeting
Retreats
Open Houses & Fellowship Gathering
Life Group Meetings
Singles Ministry Events (in the works)
If you know of a Life Church event that doesn’t appear here please inform the person who is in charge of the event. He/she is responsible for getting it into the calendar by updating e-life.

| Adding New People

When new people begin attending our services, or even our life groups, we need to add them to our e-Life database.

Adding People from the Get Connected Form

Our Get Connected Form allows visitors to submit their contact information for later recording in e-Life. It is the online equivalent of our old visitors cards. There are two ways to do this:

Method 1: Logging into e-Life

Log in to e-life
Go to the left navigation and click Forms
If it is not already selected, click on All Forms
Click on the Get Connected Form
Identify the unmatched segment of the pie chart and click on it
The e-Life page will display a list of unmatched form responses.
Follow the Matching a Form Response instructions below to either match each name to an existing person in our database or alternatively to create a new person in our database.

Method 2: Logging into e-Life

Open the New Response email.
Click the green View Responses link
If not already logged in, login to e-life
The e-Life page will display a list of unmatched form responses.
Follow the Matching a Form Response instructions below to either match each name to an existing person in our database or alternatively to create a new person in our database.
